Carpentaria was chosen by the community to deliver these services after a two-year consultation with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

Carpentaria is a non-profit disability service provider based in Darwin. We have supported people in the Northern Territory for over 50 years.

Carpentaria has delivered Therapy Services in Maningrida since 2018.
Our team also provides services in Milingimbi, Barunga, Beswick, Kintore, Papunya, Katherine, Alice Springs and Darwin.

Jaime Dutton
Director of Allied Health Services
Jaimee Dutton is an experienced Allied Health leader and Speech Pathologist with over 10 years’ experience delivering and managing remote health services across the Top End. She is skilled at building high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams, leading service innovation, and driving culturally safe, client-centred services.
Jaimee holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and a Master of Leadership (Human and Health Services), and is passionate about improving health equity and access for remote communities through meaningful partnerships and sustainable models of support.
Megan Adams
Senior Speech Pathologist
Megan Adams is a Senior Speech Pathologist who works with children and young people aged 0–18 in Darwin and remote communities across the Northern Territory. Megan works closely with families to identify therapy supports that are practical to everyday life and incorporate a child’s strengths and interests. She supports areas such as speech, language, literacy, AAC and feeding.
Megan has a Master of Speech Pathology from the University of Melbourne and is a certified practising member of Speech Pathology Australia. She is passionate about staying up to date with the latest evidence-based speech therapy, and has completed courses in Complex Childhood Trauma, Hanen More than Words, Sounds-Write Literacy Program, Paediatric Feeding, LAMP, Keyword Sign, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Pretend Play, and Clinical Supervision & Mentoring. Megan is a passionate mentor who provides supervision to other Carpentaria Speech Pathologists.
Fiona Armour
Speech Pathologist
Fiona Armour is a Speech Pathologist with 7 years of experience. She brings a lifetime of lived experience as a neurodivergent person to her practice, which informs the way she connects with participants and their families.
Maddi Hammet
Senior Occupational Therapist
Maddi Hammet is a Senior Rural and Remote Occupational Therapist, working in communities including Maningrida, Milingimbi, Galiwin’ku, Katherine, and the big rivers area. Maddi has been working at Carpentaria since 2021 and is passionate about providing consistent services to people in remote areas of the Northern Territory.
Maddi holds a Masters in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Health Science. She has previous experience in acute hospital environments supporting individuals of all ages to reach their goals and safely discharge from hospital. She has also worked in community services in individual’s homes, completing functional capacity assessments to assist with all aspects of daily life and to ensure appropriate supports are in place. Maddi has a special interest in supporting people with cognitive concerns and people recovering from stroke.
Anthea Rogers
Senior Occupational Therapist
Anthea Rogers is a Senior Occupational Therapist with over 25 years of experience in rehabilitation and the disability sector. She also has experience in refugee settlement, correctional settings, driving assessments, and academic research.
Anthea takes a trauma informed, participant-based approach, with a focus on equity, advocacy, and family involvement. She enjoys learning about people, their strengths and their culture, to inform goal setting and therapy approaches.

Tahlia Inkster
Occupational Therapist
Tahlia Inkster is a graduate Occupational Therapist from Curtin University in Perth. Influenced by her upbringing in Esperance, in rural South West WA, Tahlia is passionate about rural and remote communities and the unique service provision they require.
Tahlia completed Occupational Therapy placements in many unique environments, including remote communities in the Kimberley, and a rehabilitation centre in Vietnam.
