Mary Wellington
Director of Regional Services
Mary Wellington is an experienced Social Worker and mental health leader, with a strong record of delivering safe, effective and culturally responsive services. She holds advanced clinical expertise, people leadership and service system design experience, including management of multi-disciplinary teams, high risk caseloads and integrated care models.
Mary is committed to evidence-based practice, workforce wellbeing and improving outcomes for children, young people, families and communities through collaborative strengths-based leadership. She holds a Bachelor of International Studies, a Bachelor of Media, a Master of Social Work and is currently studying a Diploma of Laws.
Mischelle Casuyon
Regional Supported Independent Living Coordinator
Mischelle Casuyon holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has lived in Alice Springs for over 10 years. Mischelle has worked in the disability sector for 5 years, and has experience as a Disability Support Worker and Team Leader, supporting participants with complex care needs.
Mischelle is passionate about independence and supporting participants to lead fulfilling lives. She is continually inspired by the resilience and potential of the people she works with, and believes her role provides a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in in the lives of others, contributing to each individual’s personal growth and success.
Tyrell Fernando
Program Coordinator
Tyrell Fernando holds a Certificate IV in Disability and has more than 2 years of experience working in the disability sector. Tyrell is enthusiastic about supporting individuals to achieve independence and advocating for the well-being and dignity of participants.
Tyrell is experienced in working with participants with epilepsy and dementia. He is passionate about continuous learning and fostering a positive and collaborative team environment, resulting in high quality care for the people he works with.
Anuj Dhakal
Team Leader – Independent Living Services
Anuj Dhakal holds a Certificate III in Individual Support and has a background in administrative roles in Kathmandu. He has more than 2 years of experience working in the disability sector in Alice Springs, where he enjoys the unique beauty of the region and the chilly winter weather.
Anuj enjoys taking on new challenges and is eager to expand his knowledge in the disability sector. He is passionate about leading with purpose and is focused on supporting his team to deliver quality, individualised support.
Carly Bouwman
Senior Occupational Therapist
Carly Bouwman is an accomplished Occupational Therapist with a passion for rural and remote health care. Carly is focused on delivering culturally aware, trauma-informed care to support diverse populations.
Carly gained her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from James Cook University in 2017 and has significant experience managing complex caseloads and supporting people with intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, mental health, and degenerative diseases. Carly has experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and working in regional and remote areas across the Pilbara region, where she made a meaningful impact through community-centred, evidence-based interventions.
Natasha Graefe
Occupational Therapist
Natasha (Tarsha) Graefe holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) and has more than 8 years of experience supporting clients across the lifespan. She is skilled at aquatic therapy, occupational rehabilitation, equipment prescription and pressure care. Tarsh is a Life and Mindset Coach, and a Mental Health First Aider.
She grew up in outback South Australia on a remote cattle station and has travelled extensively across rural and remote Australia in a variety of therapy roles.
Carpentaria’s Alice Springs team includes over 40 experienced and qualified Independent Living Coaches (Support Workers) and Therapeutic Youth Worker who provide high-quality support to young people and adults in our Independent Living services and Out of Home Care programs.
Our Darwin team provide additional corporate and administrative support, with select Allied Health Professionals flying-in to Alice on a regular basis to provide Therapy Services.
