Molly* is 5 years old and was born with Cerebral Palsy. When she first started working with one of Carpentaria’s Speech Pathologists, she only had a small range of single words and frequently became frustrated when her needs were not understood by her family.
After 12 months of 1:1 therapy sessions, Molly now uses phrases and short sentences to communicate, as well as a communication device to help her learn new words.
She enjoys selecting toys from the Darwin Toy Library to support the speech and language activities completed during therapy sessions.
Supported by her family and teachers, Molly is excited to attend school each day, particularly when it is her turn for Show and Tell.
