Carpentaria is pleased to invite you to an interactive session about the provision of Supported Independent Living services in an NDIS context on Monday 9 July.

Join Torrien Lau, Chief Executive of Focus ACT, a mid-size not-for-profit which delivers support to people with disability. With post graduate qualifications in business, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an accredited mediator, trainer, restorative practitioner and business owner, Torrien is a highly skilled and innovative strategic thinker, consultant and leader of people.

Starting at the same place as many organisations, Focus ACT had concerns about sustainability and faced an uncertain future. Over the past four years, Torrien has transformed Focus ACT into one of the most successful and creative disability organisations in Australia.

For the past two years Focus ACT has been in the top 1-2% of financial performing organisations in Australia and has a customer satisfaction rate of 96% and a staff engagement rate of 92%.

Torrien will discuss unit costing, housing, organisational change, workforce planning and culture.

An Industrial Relations presentation will also be delivered.
