Sunset before the event at Darwin Trailer Boat Club

A night of quizzical fun and fantastic company was enjoyed by all who attended our Trivia fundraiser event at Darwin Trailer Boat Club on Thursday 18 May.

Supporting Carpentaria’s Paediatric Equipment Program (CPEP), funds raised will contribute to the ongoing maintenance, repairs, and acquisition of new equipment into the program. Created as a community benefit venture, this program relies on the generosity of the public to continue growing and servicing NT families.

Goals of the program

Carpentaria’s Paediatric Equipment Program is actively filling the gaps in access to essential assistive technology equipment for children across the Northern Territory. CPEP gives families an opportunity to trial or hire prescribed equipment that their child with disability may otherwise be waiting on for extended periods of time. Providing timely access to equipment improves client outcomes and enables participants to live and participate in their community without delays.

Since its inception in 2021, equipment has been accessed by families in Darwin, Katherine, Galiwin’ku, Jabiru and Maningrida, and the program currently holds over 90 pieces of equipment.

Generous support from the community

Thank you to the incredibly generous donations from people and businesses within our community, whose gifts and raffle prizes were instrumental in raising funds towards this innovative program. We are grateful for all the support and donations received and acknowledge the impressive impact this support will provide in enhancing the safety, independence, and well-being of children with disability across the Northern Territory.

Thank you to our generous supporters:
